Development Communications Manager
Cara Dublin joined the Foundation as Donor Communications Manager in 2015.
Cara is a sixth-generation Texan, and the second generation of her family to consider herself effectively a native of our wonderfully weird capital city of Austin. She is related to multiple former Texas legislators and is thrilled to be working for the future of our great state and nation.
A Fulbright US-UK Scholar, Cara was awarded a Fulbright Postgraduate Partnership and earned her Master of Arts in English: Victorian Studies from the University of Leicester, living for a year in Leicester, England, one of the most religiously and culturally diverse cities in the UK. Prior to England, Cara graduated summa cum laude with her Bachelor of Arts from the University of Tulsa as an Honors Program scholar, with a major in History and a minor in English. She was elected to the Honor Society of Phi Beta Kappa and served as one of the society’s writing interns. She is also a member and former chapter officer of Sigma Alpha Iota International Music Fraternity.
When not writing grants, Cara is an avid reader and writer of other genres. She is a lifelong hunter-jumper equestrian, and a devoted lover of any and all forms of creative art – drawing, dancing, and dress design being among her particular favorites.
Cara is a member of Redeemer Presbyterian Church in Austin, Texas, where she has sung in the choir for nearly a decade.
