AUSTIN – The Texas Public Policy Foundation today voiced its support for SB 1575 and HB 3497, a statewide scholarship initiative that will create access to private education scholarships for Texas students.

“Senate Bill 1575 and its companion, House Bill 3497, would empower parents and improve education opportunities for all Texas students,” said James Golsan, TPPF’s Center for Education Policy Analyst. “Under this legislation, students would not only have a better chance at an education that best suits their specific needs, but our education system as a whole would benefit from a competitive environment that drives efficiency and excellence.”
