Steve Simcox is an attorney in Barnes & Thornburg’s Dallas and Washington, D.C. offices and a member of the firm’s Government Services and Finance Department. He advises businesses, public entities, and nonprofit organizations on state and federal regulatory, procurement, and legislative matters. In addition, he serves as legal counsel to companies, trade associations, and candidates engaged in the political process.
Prior to joining Barnes & Thornburg, Steve was Deputy General Counsel to Indiana Governor Mike Pence where he was responsible for legislative, agency rulemaking, and ethics matters. Before that, he was Deputy Attorney General in the Civil Litigation Section of the Indiana Attorney General’s office, where he advised and represented state agency officials in civil rights lawsuits and constitutional challenges to state laws and regulations.
