AUSTIN – Texas Public Policy Foundation Director of the Center for Education Freedom Kent Grusendorf issued the following statement on House Bill 1759, relating to the public school finance system, filed today:

“We are heartened by attempt to undertake the Herculean task of school-finance reform. As one who has been there in the past, I would urge caution until a final decision on school finance is delivered by the Texas Supreme Court. Legislators have been surprised many times over the past three decades by the decisions of that body.”
