AUSTIN – The Texas Public Policy Foundation today announced Mayes Middleton as the newest member of its Board of Directors. He is President of Middleton Oil Company, an independent oil and gas company that operates in South Texas and along the Gulf Coast. He also manages his family’s mineral holdings throughout the state, as well as ranching, cattle and farming operations located in Chambers, Jefferson, Kimble, Liberty and Webb Counties.

“There is no greater teacher of Liberty, free enterprise and personal responsibility than the Texas Public Policy Foundation, and I am deeply honored and grateful to become a board member,” said Middleton. “ The more I become involved, the more critical I believe TPPF is in advancing the principles Texas was founded on through the very best leadership, research and policy experts.  Texas and America are better and will continue to get better because of TPPF, and I am lucky to be a part of it.”

"It is an honor to welcome Mayes Middleton to our Board as the newest addition to a group of exceptional Texans who work tirelessly to secure the future of our great state,” said TPPF President and CEO Brooke Rollins. “The Foundation is truly fortunate to have extraordinary leaders on its Board whose wise counsel and pioneering leadership are essential to our success.”
