Texas Public Policy Foundation launches new website
AUSTIN – The Texas Public Policy Foundation has unveiled its newly redesigned website, Texaspolicy.com just in time for the 83rd legislative session.
The revamped site boasts a simple, contemporary design and offers an array of new tools that improve its usability and aesthetics. The website, which offers features like the MyTPPF subscription option for site customization and a filtered content search for more accurate browsing, is part of the Foundation’s continuing efforts to expand its audience and provide the public with access to quality research.
Added features, including user accounts, give individuals the ability to customize the site to fit their needs. It is also equipped with updated features such as a smart search field, Facebook connect, trending terms, and automated email alerts. In January, Texaspolicy.com will employ bill tracking tying Foundation publications to relevant bills.
In addition to providing a more user-friendly resource for stakeholders and those in the public policy arena, the Foundation hopes the new website will attract a broader audience by reaching out to the general public. “The Foundation’s website is a tool for lawmakers and Capitol insiders,” said Vice President of Communications Chuck DeVore. The goal of the new site, he said, is to “make this tool even more invaluable while expanding our reach to more and more Texans to arm them with the knowledge to help hold their elected officials accountable.”
The Honorable Chuck DeVore is a former California State Assemblyman, Vice President of Communications, and Senior Fellow for Fiscal Policy at the Texas Public Policy Foundation.
The Texas Public Policy Foundation is a non-profit, free-market research institute based in Austin.
