AUSTIN– Texas Public Policy Foundation’s Bryan Mathew, policy analyst at the Center for Local Governance, will testify in support of House Bill 110 before the Texas House Committee on Elections today, Monday, July 31, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. CST or upon final adjournment in Room E1.026 of the Texas State Capitol.

“Local governments are drowning in a sea of red ink, and rising local government debt is contributing to Texas’ surging affordability problem,” said Mathew. “It’s imperative that the Texas Legislature reform the current debt issuance process so that voters are empowered to make the right decisions for their future.”
