AUSTIN – The Texas Public Policy Foundation’s Director of the Center for Local Governance James Quintero issued the following statement on the Montgomery County Commissioners Court unanimous endorsement yesterday of one of the Texas Legislature’s leading property tax reform bills, Senate Bill 2. Montgomery County is the 11th largest county in Texas.

“Montgomery County officials deserve praise for standing with struggling homeowners and businesses against soaring property tax bills,” said Quintero. “Property taxes are out of control and now more than ever, Texans need the legislature to act and help fix a deeply broken system.”
