AUSTIN –The Texas Public Policy Foundation today launched the Center for the American Future, led by former Kerr County Attorney and former Texas Assistant Attorney General Robert Henneke, to advance Tenth Amendment principles through opposition to federal abuse and overreach in areas of environmental, private property, and business autonomy rights.  The Center will enhance the Foundation’s core mission by launching challenges to government overreach at the administrative, district, and appellate court levels. The Center will represent clients whose lives and liberty are threatened by federal-government action in defiance of the Constitution.

“The Center for the American Future adds a new facet to the Foundation’s unique Texas mission to promote and defend liberty, personal responsibility, and free enterprise,” said Foundation President and CEO Brooke Rollins. “The Center will act to defend Texas and Texans from the onslaught of federal abuse and overreach, and advance principles of liberty on a national scope.”

“The Center for the American Future represents an exciting new chapter in the TPPF legacy,” said Center for the American Future Director Robert Henneke. “This Center will build upon the Foundation’s existing rock-solid expertise and reputation to advance Tenth Amendment principles by judicially opposing federal overreach and abuse in the subject matter areas of environmental, private property, and business autonomy rights. We will sue the federal government and force their oppressive Environmental Protection Agency, Endangered Species Act, and other regulatory policies out of Texas."
