AUSTIN—Today, the Texas Public Policy Foundation announced the appointment of Thomas “Tim” Lyles, Jr. as chairman of the board. Mr. Lyles succeeds long-time chairman Dr. Wendy Lee Gramm.

“We are delighted to announce Tim Lyles as the chairman of the board,” said Kevin Roberts, Ph.D., executive director of the Texas Public Policy Foundation. “Tim brings with him a wealth of strategic vision and experience which will help to grow the influence and reach of the Texas Public Policy Foundation. We extend our most sincere gratitude to Dr. Gramm for her many years of dedication and service.”

Mr. Lyles advised and assisted the founding team and formative years of the Texas Public Policy Foundation.

“As a board member for many years, I watched Wendy expertly guided the board and direction of the Foundation, and I am honored to succeed her,” said Tim Lyles. “I look forward to working with my fellow board members to continue the Foundation’s mission of promoting liberty, personal responsibility, and opportunity for all Texans.”

Mr. Lyles is a lawyer and CPA and was appointed as a briefing attorney for the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of Texas from 1983-1984. He is a manager with MedCare Holdings GP, LLC, a general partner of MedCare Holdings, Ltd., and has more than 20 years of experience establishing health care companies.
