AUSTIN – The Texas Public Policy Foundation (TPPF), Texas Association of Business (TAB), and Rice University’s Baker Institute for Public Policy will host an event featuring Dr. Arthur Laffer, Distinguished University Professor of Economics at Mercer University and CEO of Laffer Associates. The event, The Macroeconomic Effects of School Choice Reform in Texas, will present his evaluation of the Texas Taxpayer Savings Grant Proposal in terms of its impacts on graduation rates, state economic growth, job growth, and the state budget. His presentation is based on Dr. Laffer’s recent research, The Texas Economy and School Choice, which was commissioned by TPPF and TAB.
