AUSTIN – The Texas Public Policy Foundation (TPPF) will host a media conference call briefing on Wednesday, June 15 at 10:00 a.m. CDT to discuss the Real Texas Budget, an overview of Texas appropriations and spending. The TPPF research, which will be released Wednesday morning, catalogues for taxpayers how much of their tax dollars the state of Texas actually spends.

In the 78th Session, Heflin served as chairman of the House Committee on Appropriations and navigated a $10 billion state budget shortfall through targeted spending cuts that allowed Texans to avoid a tax increase.
