AUSTIN, TX — Texas Public Policy Foundation President and CEO Brooke Rollins appeared on Fox News’s America’s Newsroom today to discuss a Convention of States under Article V of the United States Constitution to reign in the federal government and restore the rule of law.

“The American people are mad and they’re looking for a way to say, ‘No more,’” said Rollins. “Our founders, in their brilliance, gave us a tool to do that. And it’s Article V.”

Under Article V of the Constitution, it takes two-thirds of the states to call for a Convention. Six states – Alabama, Alaska, Georgia, Florida, Indiana, and Tennessee – have already passed legislation calling for a Convention of States. In January, at the Texas Public Policy Foundation’s 14th Annual Policy Orientation,Texas Governor Greg Abbott called for an Article V Convention of States for the purpose of limiting the power and jurisdiction of the federal government.

Rollins is available to discuss the Foundation’s pioneering work surrounding Article V. To schedule interviews, please contact Elizabeth Lincicome at [email protected] or call (919) 744-8087.
