Thanks to recent events, Texan parents are more aware of what is going on in classrooms than ever before. As a result of this awareness, they are beginning to flex their inalienable right and duty to ensure that their children receive a quality education that aligns with their values. One option that has become increasingly available to parents is classical education, which focuses on the development of every child’s character, love of freedom, the pursuit of justice, and wisdom to prepare them to become well-educated, self-governing citizens and leaders for the next generation of America.

Please join us for a livestream as TPPF’s Michael Barba hosts a candid discussion with Oscar Ortiz, the CEO and Superintendent of Heritage Classical Academy here in Texas. Oscar will share his insights on why he believes that all students should have access to classical education as well as his own journey of opening a new charter school in Texas.

  • Michael Barba (Moderator) – Policy Director, K-12 Education, Texas Public Policy Foundation
  • Oscar Ortiz (Guest) – CEO and Superintendent, Heritage Classic Academy

The livestream can be viewed Tuesday, 5/24 at 12PM CT via the following links. Watch via YouTube to submit your questions during the live Q&A.
