A native of Colorado, Laura Beth Latimer joined the Texas Public Policy Foundation in 2025, driven by a desire to serve the people of her adopted home state. Before moving into public-interest work, she spent four years as a felony prosecutor in the Bell County District Attorney’s Office. In that role, she focused her efforts on the sensitive and demanding prosecution of child abuse cases, working closely with law enforcement and families to seek justice for the most vulnerable members of the community.

Laura Beth’s legal perspective was shaped early on by her time as a law clerk for Chief Justice Tom Parker of the Alabama Supreme Court. While serving at the court, she gained a profound respect for the judicial process and the importance of a clear, consistent application of the law. This experience followed her time at Liberty University School of Law, where she graduated magna cum laude in 2019 and developed the research and advocacy skills that have anchored her career ever since.

Though her roots are in the Rocky Mountains, Laura Beth has found a calling in the Texas legal community. She is honored to contribute to the Foundation’s mission, where she draws upon her practical courtroom experience and her background in the appellate judiciary to help tackle the state’s most pressing legal challenges. She is grateful for the opportunity to work alongside fellow Texans in defending the principles of liberty and the rule of law.
