Austin Griesinger joined the Texas Public Policy Foundation in 2019 as a member of the inaugural class of Legislative Fellows.

Austin was homeschooled, which gave him the opportunity to spend time investing in his community through the Boy Scouts of America where he earned the rank of Eagle Scout, in his church where he served with his family, and in Patriot Academy which he attended for 7 years, serving as Governor in 2018

Austin developed a love for policy and the legislative process after attending the leadership program Patriot Academy, which teaches young men and women the importance of character, morality and the legislative process.

Following this experience, Austin began working as Deputy Legislative Director for a State Representative for the 85th Legislative Session. During the 86th Legislative session, Austin served as Legislative Director for a member of the House of Representatives.

In his spare time, Austin volunteers his time where he can to help further the cause of liberty.
