Brooke Rollins is the former senior advisor to the Foundation. She was the former director of the Domestic Policy Council at the White House and prior to that role ran the Office of American Innovation. She led the White House’s efforts to pass the historic First Step Act, a bipartisan win for criminal justice reform. After her stint in the White House, she founded the America First Policy Institute, and she serves as its president and CEO.
Rollins was the CEO of the Foundation before being called to the White House, elevating the Foundation from a small policy organization to a national force in 15 years, redefining the possibilities for a state-based think tank. Before that accomplishment, she served as Governor Rick Perry’s policy director.
Rollins earned a JD with honors from the University of Texas and a BS with honors in agricultural development from Texas A&M University. While at A&M, she was the first female elected as student body president.
Originally from Glen Rose, Texas, Rollins and her husband reside in Fort Worth and spend much of their free time taxiing their four children to baseball games, cattle shows, piano lessons, and Aggie football games.
