This week, the Texas Public Policy Foundation released an ambitious new proposal to cut property taxes by nearly half for all Texans.  Over 70% of Texans say property taxes are a major burden, which have increased by nearly 181% over the last 20 years. A similar number of Texans say they would be very or somewhat upset if the Texas legislature did not address property tax relief this year

Dr. Vance Ginn, chief economist at TPPF and former associate director for economic policy of the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) , was the lead author of the proposal and is available for media interviews to discuss how to implement the reform and Texans’ demand to cut property taxes.
