“We appreciate Chairman Buckley for taking action on Governor Abbott’s call to empower parents through Education Savings Accounts. However, the Foundation believes House Bill 1 needs to be improved by increasing the amount of Texas families able to participate in the program, as well as the administration of the program, especially to respect and protect the religious liberties of our Texas families.
“We encourage the House to continue to work with Governor Greg Abbott to empower all Texas parents with transparency, quality, respect, and choice in their child’s education. Our Foundation is committed to work with members and provide any resource necessary to get the best possible Education Savings Account bill to Governor Abbott.”
