The Texas Public Policy Foundation’s CEO Greg Sindelar released the following statement following today’s debate on HB 1:
“TPPF thanks Chairman Buckley and the other 62 members who stood with parents for their continued effort to secure educational freedom for every child in Texas. Unfortunately, the education savings accounts supported by a majority of Texans were taken out of the bill, but the debate continues. I am confident in the determination of parents across Texas, as well as Governor Abbott’s leadership, to fight to ensure parents determine the best education for their children. Our movement to empower parents remains vigilant and undeterred.”
