Ahead of today’s vote on the budget resolution, Texas Public Policy Foundation’s Chief Executive Officer Kevin Roberts released the following statement:
“Owing to the historically reckless spending in Washington, D.C., working families across the country are being hit by the highest levels of inflation in decades. President Biden and Speaker Pelosi’s solution to the problem is to double-down and spend another $5 trillion of taxpayer funds on left-wing priorities through budget reconciliation.
“Some moderate House Democrats refused to go along with Speaker Pelosi’s plan thus far. TPPF encourages these Democrats to hold the line against her $5 trillion boondoggle which includes trillions of dollars in tax increases, amnesty for millions of illegal migrants, and job-killing environmental justice programs.”
