AUSTIN, Texas – Wendy Gramm, chair of the Texas Public Policy Foundation Board of Directors, announced today that Jeff Judson, President and CEO, will be leaving the Foundation on December 31, 2002. She offered her thanks to Judson for his “work on behalf of TPPF and Texas.”

“Under Jeff’s leadership, the size and scope of the Foundation has grown and we appreciate his dedication and hard work advancing limited government and the principles of liberty,” said Dr. Gramm on behalf of the Board.

Six months ago, Mr. Judson indicated to a number of board members his intention to step down and enter the private sector. Since then, a search has taken place for his successor, who will be announced in the coming weeks.

“After eight short and exciting years as President of TPPF, I feel the Foundation has achieved a level of credibility and influence that allows me to pursue other endeavors in the private sector. Clearly, TPPF is at its peak, but I expect it to continue to grow in influence under its new leader.”

TPPF recently announced it is hosting the 78th Legislature Policy Orientation on January 29 & 30 and February 3 & 4. The Orientation has been endorsed by Gov. Perry, Lt. Governor-elect Dewhurst, and State Rep. Tom Craddick. Planning for this orientation is proceeding unabated and details will be announced soon.
