Today, the Texas Senate passed Senate Bill 2, a proposal that makes it a felony to engage in illegal voting. The bill now heads to the Texas House for approval. TPPF Chief National Initiatives Officer Chuck DeVore released the following statement:
“Texans deserve free and fair elections. Threats to that ideal should not be tolerated and people who knowingly and intentionally violate the public trust should face serious consequences. It is through election integrity measures like SB 2 that policymakers can rebuild confidence.”
