The Texas Public Policy Foundation, in connection with Save Austin Now, has announced a live conversation, focusing on the epidemic of homelessness that is plaguing Austin and our country. The event will feature a livestream of the second of two Dr. Phil episodes focusing on our country’s homelessness crisis which includes Save Austin Now co-founders Matt Mackowiak and Cleo Petricek.

A panel discussion including the co-founders will be hosted during the commercial breaks and at the program’s conclusion by TPPF’s Senior Fellow Michele Steeb.

United States’ decade-long homeless policy, a policy it continues to pursue at the peril of every American, is a colossal failure according to a recently released white paper by the Texas Public Policy Foundation. “Human beings are perishing on America’s streets in skyrocketing numbers. Yet, policymakers continue to squander those lives, and taxpayer funds, by doubling and even tripling down on this same failed policy while asking for ever greater sacrifices from our citizens. Austin is no exception, and we are delighted that Dr. Phil recognizes the humanitarian crisis that our state capitol faces,” said Michele Steeb, the study’s author.
