AUSTIN – Texas Public Policy Foundation President and CEO Brooke Rollins announced new leadership for the Foundation’s communications and policy teams today.

Chuck DeVore, currently a Senior Fellow in the Foundation’s Center for Fiscal Policy and the outgoing Vice President for Communications, will move to the Vice Presidency for Policy. In this role, he will craft the Foundation’s policy-related strategy, lead its governmental outreach, and serve as a major voice for its agenda in the public square.

Joshua Treviño, the outgoing Vice President for External Relations, will return to the role of Vice President for Communications.

Vice President for Research Bill Peacock will remain in his leadership role in charge of the Foundation’s original research and inquiry into market- and liberty-based solutions for Texas’s policy challenges.

“Chuck DeVore’s experience as a California State Assemblymen, his strategic approach developed in military and private-sector service, and his personal dedication to the principles of limited government and individual responsibility that undergird this Foundation render him uniquely qualified to serve as Vice President for Policy,” said President and CEO Brooke Rollins, “And of course, with Joshua Treviño’s longstanding record of achievement in media and the public square, we are glad to have him back helming our communications efforts.”

“This is just another manifestation of our Foundation’s extraordinary growth in recent years,” continued Rollins, “When I assumed leadership as President and CEO in early 2003, we had four employees and a tiny office in San Antonio. Now, we are at nearly forty men and women who fight for Texas freedom every day – and we are building a $20 million headquarters just two blocks from the Texas State Capitol.”

“Our incredible team is in the trenches each and every day, standing up for what’s right in Texas,” said Arlene Wohlgemuth, the Foundation’s Executive Director and Director of Health Care Policy. “With Chuck and Joshua leading the helm in both our policy and communications teams, I know we can expect even greater things from this Foundation for Texas, and for the nation.”
