AUSTIN—The Texas Public Policy Foundation released two episodes of the new podcast, Step Up with Ellen Troxclair.
“It was an honor to serve as the youngest woman, and sole conservative, on the Austin City Council, but it was also isolating and discouraging that my point of view was often ignored or belittled. If I felt this way as an elected leader responsible for representing nearly 100,000 people in my district, how difficult it must be for other women who are struggling to be heard,” said Troxclair.
“My hope for this podcast is that through telling the amazing stories of women leaders who never set out to run for office or change their communities, but who got frustrated and took the next step, that it will inspire others and will help to awaken the sleeping giant of conservative women to help shape our communities, our states, and our country for the better.”
