The Texas Public Policy Foundation’s Life:Powered project announced opposition to President Joe Biden’s “Climate Day” executive orders.

“President Biden’s executive overreach will grow government, hurt responsible energy producers, and make the energy we need expensive and scarce — damaging every sector of our economy,” said Jason Isaac, director of Life:Powered. “What’s even worse is that none of these actions will affect climate change in the slightest.”

Globally accepted climate data models project that eliminating all U.S. fossil fuel consumption by 2030, the deadline set in the Green New Deal, would reduce global temperatures by less than two-tenths of a degree in 2100.

“President Biden claims to want to help the environment, but his executive orders won’t stop climate change and actually jeopardize the environment,” Isaac stated. “Curtailing American energy production means we’ll be forced to import energy from foreign nations who don’t share our country’s commitment to environmental quality.”
