AUSTIN – The Texas Public Policy Foundation announced today that Kevin Holtsberry has joined its staff as a policy analyst in the Foundation’s Center for Economic Freedom.

Prior to joining the Foundation, Holtsberry was an aide to Commissioner Judy Jones at the Public Utilities Commission of Ohio, where he worked on a wide variety of utility issues. He previously worked as a legislative aide in both the Ohio House and Senate.

“Kevin’s knowledge and experience on regulatory policy will greatly advance the Center’s goal to reduce harmful government interference in the Texas electric, telecommunications and insurance markets,” said Bill Peacock, director of the Center for Economic Freedom.

As a freelance journalist, Holtsberry covered the 2000 and 2004 presidential elections in Ohio for National Review Online. His book reviews have appeared both online and in the print edition of National Review. Holtsberry has a B.A. in History from Taylor University and a Masters Degree from Bowling Green State University.
