It’s time for Texas to empower parents and adopt the Parents Bill of Rights.

1. Parents should be in control of where their kids go to school and shouldn’t be limited by where the student lives. The government shouldn’t restrict the ability of parents to choose the best education for their children.
2. Parents should be confident their children are getting an education that allows them to be successful, such as preparing for college or learning career skills.
3. Parents should have easy access to all curriculum and instructional materials assigned to students through online posting or other methods.
4. Parents should be treated with respect by school administrators, school board officials, and all other school employees, and parents’ concerns with school policies should be respectfully considered.
