The Obama Administration has declared war against fossil fuels – the concentrated, affordable energy on which prosperous economies are utterly dependent. In only a few short years, the U.S. has become the world’s largest producer of oil and natural gas; it has long been the Saudi Arabia of coal. America has more fossil fuels resources than any nation and can produce and utilize those resources with more environmental sensitivity and energy efficiency. Developing those resources could stimulate hundreds of billions of dollars of additional economic activity each year. Drilling on federal lands could raise trillions of dollars of tax and royalty revenues over the coming decades.
