11:30 am – 1:00 pm
The centralized federal government was not, is not, and never will be able to address poverty in a meaningful way. There simply is no one-size-fits-all solution to poverty. Solutions have to come from the states, states who know the unique problems plaguing their citizens and who have a vested interest in implementing a policy that benefits all. Today, states have the opportunity to implement solutions to move their citizens in poverty to a life of flourishing. Join us as the CEOs of the Texas Public Policy Foundation, the Georgia Center for Opportunity, and the Pelican Institute in Louisiana share their top reforms to state safety net and workforce programs that create a bridge to work a way out of poverty.
Complimentary lunch will be provided for in-person attendees. You’re also welcome to join the event online via livestream.
