With more than 13 years of on-the-ground experience, Michele Steeb transformed Saint John’s Shelter, a simple 30-day homeless pitstop, into an effective, comprehensive 18-month program serving more than 270 women and children each day. Together, clients, staff, and volunteers actively worked to overcome root causes of poverty and homelessness.

Now, Michele shares stories and solutions around homelessness in her co-written book, Answers Behind the Red Door. In this discussion you’ll hear about real-life solutions to homelessness and necessary public policy changes.

Through sharing stories from women who overcame the dark depths of despair and rose to inspirational heights, Behind the Red Door is a message of hope and a call to action.
