Texas House Bill 3297 eliminates the requirement for car owners to take their vehicle in for an annual safety inspection — joining 31 other states who don’t have this unnecessary requirement.
Thanks to the work of the bill’s authors, Rep. Cody Harris and Sen. Mayes Middleton, and Gov. Greg Abbott for signing the bill into law, the era of these time-consuming vehicle inspections will be over by 2025.
