The Effects of ObamaCare on Texas Employers



Health care exchanges are set to open October 1, 2013. This will be the first time customers, mandated to purchase coverage, will gauge their options. Rates are sure to find equilibrium, but where and when? More importantly, these initial prices are the first indicators business will have to project the cost of health coverage for their employees or if they will disband their coverage because of the costs and dump private plans for the exchange come January 15, 2015.



This primer will explore insurance exchange rates, coverage costs for Texas businesses, and what it all means for the individual.
