“…we are confident that we will ultimately prevail in court and continue to deliver the benefits of reform to the American people.”

These were the words with which Stephanie Cutter, Assistant to the President for Special Projects, closed her November 30 blog post. Embedded in this statement is the belief that their reforms have already begun to deliver benefits to the American people. So far we have seen higher premiums as a result of mandated benefits, hospitals shuttered, dropped coverage, and big businesses waived out of requirements while small businesses are left out in the cold. If this is what you mean by “benefits of reform,” then please, Mr. President, stop delivering the “benefits of reform.”
