Matt Krause is a former Distinguished Senior Fellow at the Texas Public Policy Foundation.

Matt Krause graduated from the inaugural class of Liberty University School of Law in 2007. Upon graduation, he opened up the Texas office for a national non-profit constitutional litigation firm. With the firm, Matt worked on pro-life, pro-family, and religious liberty cases.

In 2012, Matt won the Republican primary and general election for Texas House of Representatives for House District 93. In his five terms of service, Matt was consistently recognized for his legislative efforts supporting limited government, fiscal responsibility, pro-life causes, the 2nd Amendment and religious liberty. He served as Chairman of the General Investigating Committee and served on numerous other committees such as the Civil Jurisprudence and Judiciary Committee, the Transportation Committee, the Redistricting Committee, and the committee on Culture, Recreation, & Tourism. Matt was also a founding member of the Texas Freedom Caucus in the Texas House. Matt and his wife, Jennie, live in the Fort Worth area with their five children.
