Marie Marcalus is the Director for Research and Publications for the Texas Public Policy Foundation. Prior to joining the Foundation in January 2024, Marie served as a policy analyst for Texas state Senator Kevin Sparks.
Marcalus received her B.A. in History from Baylor University and her Masters in Politics from the University of Dallas. While in grad school, she spent one summer interning for U.S. Senator Bill Cassidy, and another at the Foundation.
A native Louisianian, Marie is proud to have called Texas “home” for the past 6+ years. She is passionate about furthering the conservative movement among younger generations, and spends her time at bookstores, making plans to travel abroad, and cheering on Baylor football.
