Jose Melendez leads both the Taxpayer Protection Project and the Government Reform & Oversight Coalition campaigns at the Texas Public Policy Foundation.
Jose brings several years of experience in legislative campaigns, grassroots advocacy, and coalition-building, which has enabled him to cultivate genuine relationships across our state and nation. Along with his network, he brings an unparalleled work ethic and a keen attention to details and logistics to the team.
Born and raised in Houston, Jose got his start serving on various local and state campaigns and grassroots efforts. Previously, he served as Regional Director in multiple primary states and later as Delegate Operations Manager for Senator Ted Cruz’s presidential campaign.
Jose graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Business from the University of Houston. He is an avid runner, enjoys hiking trips, and is a huge U.S. Men’s National Soccer team fanatic.
