Christian Townsend is an attorney with the Center for the American Future. Prior to joining the Foundation, Townsend was a legal associate with the Cato Institute’s Robert A. Levy Center for Constitutional Studies where he primarily focused on administrative law issues.
During law school, Townsend interned in Cambodia at the law offices of Tilleke & Gibbins and in Washington, DC, at both the New Civil Liberties Alliance and the Cato Institute.
Townsend graduated with a JD cum laude from Indiana University Maurer School of Law, where he was the executive online editor of the Indiana Law Journal and president of the Federalist Society. Townsend graduated with highest honors from Cedarville University with a BA in political science and a BA in history. He is licensed to practice law in Maryland.
