Policy Analyst, Center for Families and Children
Charissa Huntzinger was born and raised in California before seeing the light and moving to Texas for her undergraduate degree. She graduated from Baylor University with a B.A. in Political Science and French. She wrote her honors thesis, “You are Who You Fight: The CIA, Cover Action, and National Security” on the evolution of the CIA.
After graduation, Charissa interned at TPPF in the Center for Families and Children where she discovered her passion for child welfare policy. Following the internship, she found her way back to the Foundation in an analyst position in the same center. She is excited to continue her small part in helping Texas families and children.
Outside of work Charissa enjoys spending time with her family, live music, and reading a good spy novel.
