Wesley Coopersmith is the former director of federal affairs for States Trust, the Foundation’s federal affairs initiative. Before joining the Foundation, he served as the legislative director for a U.S. senator.
Prior to his position in the U.S. Senate, Coopersmith served as the deputy director of government relations at Heritage Action for America where he managed the staff’s day-to-day interactions with U.S. senators and their staff.
Coopersmith holds a B.A. in political science as well as a B.A. in biblical and religious studies from Grove City College. Originally from the greater Philadelphia region, Coopersmith now resides in Washington, D.C., with his wife and son.
