Trisha O’Keefe Dunbar joined the Texas Public Policy Foundation Development team in January 2016, realizing a dream of returning to the public policy arena.
A Dallas native and 30 year fundraising veteran, Trisha pursued a career in non-profit development as a way of combining a heart for helping others with her strong organizational skills. She strategically pursued a broad range of fund raising experience in direct response, grant writing, special events, volunteer management and communications with a variety of organizations including The Heritage Foundation, Visiting Nurse Association, Presbyterian Communities and Services Foundation and ACH Child and Family Services. She holds a BSBA in Marketing from Trinity College (Washington D.C.) and a Fundraising Administrator graduate certificate from George Washington University (Washington D.C.). Trisha became a Certified Fundraising Executive in 1993. She is a member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals and has served on the Boards of the Washington, D.C. and Fort Worth, Texas chapters.
Trisha spent more than a decade in Washington, D.C. where she had the honor of working on the staff for Senator John Tower and the political staff for Rep. Jack Kemp. After a brief stint in New Mexico, where she met and married her husband, Trisha and Larry returned to Texas to be with family and enjoy the Lone Star State economy.
When time permits, Trisha enjoys cooking and is an accomplished seamstress. She serves as Secretary of the Simms Creek Wildlife Management Association and enjoys hunting with her husband on the small family ranch in Lampasas County.
