Mayes Middleton is president of Middleton Oil Company, an independent oil and gas company that operates over 60 wells in south Texas and along the Gulf Coast. He also manages his family’s mineral holdings throughout the state, as well as ranching, cattle and farming operations located in Chambers, Jefferson, Kimble, Liberty and Webb Counties.
Mayes serves on the Board of Directors of First Liberty National Bank, a small community bank, and the Wallisville Heritage Park, a historical museum in Chambers County. He is also on the Board of Empower Texans Foundation and a member of Texas Business Leadership Council.
He graduated from The University of Texas at Austin with degrees in finance and Plan II Honors, as well as a Juris Doctor degree from The University of Texas School of Law.
Mayes and his wife, Macy, live in Houston, Texas with their twin boys who are 2 years old.
