Syd Lucas is the legal assistant for the Center for the American Future at the Texas Public Policy Foundation.

She graduated from Baylor with a BA in Great Texts of the Western Tradition and wrote a thesis as a student in the Honors College. Immediately after graduation, she became a policy intern for TPPF’s Next Generation Texas Campaign. Then, she worked with a start-up out of San Diego, helping them build a database of every elected official in the United States to increase the transparency and accountability of our leaders. She loves researching, writing, and learning always.

Syd lives in Austin with her husband. When not working, she loves to explore Austin, spend time outdoors, and play or watch sports with her husband. She loves the United States, especially planning adventures in national parks.
