The Texas Public Policy Foundation seeks an Associate Filmmaker and Editor to help tell the story of the Texas Public Policy Foundation, its work, its people, and its mission to a statewide, national, and international audience. For over a quarter-century, the Foundation has sought to defend liberty in the Lone Star State — and to make its lessons available and applicable to the rest of the country. This position, part of our top-flight Communications team, will play a critical role in ensuring that our achievements and our principles are available and accessible to any American with a television or Internet connection. 

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Conceive and create new Foundation audio and video products.
  • Manage and use the film, recording, and editing equipment at the Foundation’s disposal.
  • Manage and use the editing suite and studio space in the Foundation’s headquarters.
  • Record, edit, and disseminate audio and video of all Foundation events.
  • Record, edit, and disseminate Foundation audio and video products.
  • Train and lead Foundation personnel in these tasks as needed.
  • Advise and research on Foundation equipment and personnel needs in the sphere of audio and video production.

Qualifications:

  • 5 to 10 years of experience in audio and video production preferred.
  • A track record successfully producing products such as podcasts, YouTube videos, event videos, and event livestreams.
  • Understands the goals and philosophy of the liberty movement, and ideally possesses an especial appreciation for the Lone Star State’s history and heritage.
