Description:

The Texas Public Policy Foundation is looking for an experienced Senior Marketing Director to inform, build, and engage Foundation audiences in Texas, Washington, DC., and throughout the country. The Senior Marketing Director will develop, manage, and execute strategies to educate and persuade Texans about relevant and topical public policy issues, reforms, and Foundation priorities. This position will work seamlessly with policy directors and scholars to promote policy solutions, as well as with our development team on donor communications and engagement. The Senior Marketing Director must have extensive experience using various digital platforms, placing traditional and digital advertisements, and a proven track record of monitoring and tracking results. This person should have familiarity with message development and product creation, and possess quality, professional writing skills.

Responsibilities include:

  • Developing and managing marketing strategies and product creation for Foundation campaigns, initiatives, and public policy priorities.
  • Creating, building, and engaging Foundation owned audiences.
  • Executing digital and traditional advertising campaigns for lead generation, activist engagement, and supporter contributions.
  • Managing various Foundation digital properties, including Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and TexasPolicy.com, as well as search engine optimization.
  • Using digital and tracking software, such as Hubspot, to manage and grow targeted and segmented lists.
  • Developing messaging and draft scripts for Foundation multi-media projects, social media posts, and advertisements.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 4+ years working in communications and marketing
  • Ability to manage multiple complex projects and issue-area campaigns
  • Excellent research, writing, and public presentation skills
  • Strong interpersonal communication and collaborative abilities
  • Attention to detail and solid organization skills
