AUSTIN – The Texas Public Policy Foundation’s Center for Effective Justice Deputy Director Derek Cohen will testify before the U.S. House Committee on Education and the Workforce on Thursday, October 8, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. EDT in room HVC 210 in the Capitol Visitor Center in Washington, D.C.  Mr. Cohen will testify at a hearing on “Reviewing the Juvenile Justice System and How It Serves At-Risk Youth.”

“We are pleased that the House Committee on Education and the Workforce is taking an earnest look at juvenile justice policy and what has worked in the states,” said Cohen. “I look forward to sharing the reforms Texas has made over the past several legislative sessions and provide suggests on how the federal government may encourage other states to do the same.”
