AUSTIN –  Texas Public Policy Foundation’s Fueling Freedom Project Director Doug Domenech issued the following statement on Michigan Governor Rick Snyder’s decision to support Environmental Protection Agency’s flawed Clean Power Plan. TPPF joined a coalition, along with 32 other groups, stating, “the best approach is for states to reject state plans until the courts decide whether Obama even has the authority to impose his national energy takeover.”

“Today TPPF joined with a number of other groups expressing our concern regarding Governor Rick Snyder’s announcement that Michigan will be implementing EPA’s flawed carbon rule,” said Domenech. “As the letter says, there are serious legal consequences to any state that files a state plan which essentially relinquishes state authority over producing low cost electricity for families and businesses.”
