AUSTIN – Texas Public Policy Foundation president and CEO Brooke Rollins announced a restructuring of the Foundation’s communications team today.

Chuck DeVore, currently a senior fellow in the Foundation’s Center for Fiscal Policy, will succeed Joshua Treviño as TPPF’s Vice President of Communications. Treviño left the Foundation’s staff earlier this month to become Writer-at-Large for Texas Monthly and to write a daily column on U.S. politics for The Guardian (UK). DeVore will oversee the Foundation’s strategic communications activities while continuing to assist with the Center for Fiscal Policy’s research activities. DeVore has extensive communications experience in both the corporate and political realms.

David Guenthner will now serve as Senior Director for Public Affairs. Guenthner – who has had primary responsibility for media and government relations throughout his six years at the Foundation – will remain involved in communications and media outreach, but his role will shift substantially in the direction of legislative and stakeholder relations.

Kristen Indriago, who has served as the Foundation’s Deputy Communications Director since February 2011, has been promoted to Director of Communications. Indriago will directly manage the communications staff to ensure strategic objectives are being met and become the Foundation’s primary point of contact for media inquiries.

“The Foundation is blessed to have some top-shelf talent in our communications team and this new structure will accentuate their strengths,” Rollins said. “With Chuck’s strategic mind, David’s tactical experience and relationships, and Kristen’s proven communications skills, I believe the Foundation will be even more effective going into next year’s legislative session and beyond.”

Brooke Rollins is president and CEO of the Texas Public Policy Foundation.
