Chip Roy Joins TPPF as Director of Center for Tenth Amendment Action

AUSTIN –The Texas Public Policy Foundation today announced Chip Roy as the Director of the Center for Tenth Amendment Action (CTAA). Mr. Roy is an accomplished attorney and public servant whose former positions include first assistant attorney general of Texas, chief of staff to U.S. Senator Ted Cruz, and senior advisor to both U.S. Senator John Cornyn and former Texas Governor Rick Perry.

            U.S. Senator Ted Cruz said, “Chip is a fearless and committed champion for the values that keep Texas strong, free, and safe. I congratulate both him for his new role, and the Texas Public Policy Foundation for securing such an accomplished and principled individual as Chip to serve as Director of their 10th Amendment Center. As one who had the honor of helping launch that center, it is critical to have someone lead the effort who possesses both a strong knowledge of the Constitution and an acute awareness of how the federal government steps beyond its limits on a daily basis."

            The Texas Public Policy Foundation was the first state-based think tank with a policy center dedicated to research on the constitutional balance between the states and the federal government. With the guidance of former Senior Fellow and current U.S. Senator Ted Cruz, the Foundation developed an “Agenda for State Action” and founded the Center for Tenth Amendment Action.
